Sewing

 Sew

My mother taught me that most anything that is sold at the store can be made at home.  She was referring to food at the time, but that way of thinking spills over into many other areas in life.
My mother started me out sewing simple projects, like summer shorts and pajama bottoms.
Before I was married my mother bought diaper flannel and showed me how to finish the edges for flat fold diapers to put in my hope chest.  Later I sewed turned and top stitched diapers for my babies.
I've tackled a lot of projects over the years and I've made my share of mistakes.
But, I have really enjoyed sewing.
Baby Booties are my favorite gift to give.  I made lots of them for my babies and have made even more over the years for others.
