Old Glory - Flag Retirement Ceremony

We took our children to see the respectful retirement of American flags worn beyond repair.  It was a great teaching opportunity for our children to learn about the respectful treatment of the flag.

We had the opportunity to see the different branches of the military honored.  Our children also had the opportunity to see several recruits sworn in to serve their country during a time when they will surely be deployed to protect our hard won freedom.

I appreciated seeing our scouts participate along side our servicemen. 

I feel thankful for the blessing of seeing this done.  I hope that we can stand up and not be a afraid to be patriotic in a time where wickedness and controversy swirl.  God Bless America.  May her people strive for good and receive the blessings that come with love of Country and respect for God.
