Pottery Barn Knock Off Pillows - Sew Rewarding!

Oct. 30, 2010
My first pillows were so rewarding I decided to make another go of it. This pillow has an internal form made from left over cotton sheeting and stuffed with fiber fill.

I took my grandmothers advice on both projects and stuffed the pillows fuller than I wanted them. Think about what happens to a new bed pillow after you have used it a while.

This pillow is made from a BH&G cafe curtain. I used the valance, but had not use for the tier.
I matched the stripes up so that they are continuous from front to back.

I found this nice textured button in the tin of buttons my mother gave me.

This project took the better part of an afternoon, but it was worth it.

  2. CUTE! I totally agree with the overstuffing advice. I HATE it when my pillows get all flat. Love the way it turned out!

  3. Very pretty! Throw pillows are so crazy expensive to buy, and so easy and inexpensive to make.
